My co-founder's income increased threefold while mine decreased; am I in the wrong industry?

I co-founded a lead-generation agency a year ago to assist B2B SaaS founders with their go-to-market strategies. Prior to this, I was successfully freelancing on my own.
Now, even though I bring in most of our limited clients, my income has dropped significantly compared to what I used to earn as a freelancer, while my co-founder’s earnings have tripled. She excels at team management, but I’m beginning to feel that this arrangement isn’t working for me.
I’m considering starting a software business with a tech partner instead. I have over 200,000 followers, a strong personal brand, a podcast, and an extensive network. I’ve previously worked with major clients and know how to scale businesses effectively.
I believe I can successfully grow a software company, but I’m worried about how leaving the agency might impact my friendship with my co-founder. I also don’t want to completely abandon the agency.
I’m feeling quite confused about what to do. Should I make the switch?

In what ways has her income grown while yours has decreased? Before you started, were you making a lot more? In what way do you impact the company in relation to your co-founder? Do you not divide the earnings in half?
Can you not be friends when if you cease working together. Ultimately, you have to act in your own best interests.

This. One additional thing, in my opinion.
Can you find a solution for “not enough clients”?
How did your co-founder’s income increase 3x?

Haha.

A founder and co-founder work as a team and usually have a similar income. How is her income higher than yours? You are making the argument as though you are workers of the agency.

EVERYTIME. BUY. SELF. Initially.
You accepted the risk, put in long hours at work, and are under a lot of stress. Your discipline and motivation will decline if you don’t give yourself the money you deserve. Both your company and your staff will be impacted by this decline. You could ultimately lose everything. So: Pay yourself fist.

Yeah none of what he’s saying is making sense. Maybe he’s looking for “investors” to invest in this “business” he wants to start on his own.
