I am the creator of the future scheduling SaaS Slotify . I’m not here to pitch my product; instead, I’d like to know what would convince users to stop using Calendly.
What about it appeals to you? Or what characteristics do you dislike?
All I’m trying to do is gather feedback from people so that I can create and provide a better product.
My objective is to improve products while keeping the customer in mind. I’m curious about the scheduling elements that you find most appealing.
I am more concerned about feature quality than feature quantity.
Tell me straight out what you think.
It seems like you might be trying to reinvent the wheel. While it can make sense to create something new if you have specific problems with existing solutions and know others who face the same issues, it’s unclear what exactly you’re struggling with. If you had shared more details about your challenges, that would have made it clearer. From what I can see, it looks like you’re trying to recreate something similar to Calendly and other competitors without a distinct reason.
If my assumption is correct, convincing people to switch to your solution might be tough. I fell into a similar trap with my first startup idea. Even though my solution was different and promised better results, it wasn’t enough to make people switch, so we ended up closing it.
My approach is distinct and different, and it alleviates a lot of scheduling headaches. I am not here to create clones of any already-existing items.
Then, kindly supply that data so that others can offer their opinions, ideas, and insights❺️
By the way, I’m just trying to help, so don’t take anything I say personally:)
Sincerely, if you could grant me access to Calendly Premium’s features at no cost.
What would convince me to stop using Calendly? Google just released their booking tool, though.
You’ve likely done your research, but here’s my perspective:
I think scheduling (like Calendly) and transcription + summarization (like Fathom) should be integrated into a single app rather than requiring separate purchases.
Most of my use cases involve user interviews (so I’m not sure if I’m your ideal customer). My preferred workflow would be:
- Share a public link to my calendar
- Automatically generate a meeting link and invite a transcription bot
- After the meeting, automatically send summaries to Slack, a spreadsheet, or Zapier
Currently, I use Calendly and Fathom. While it’s not a major issue for me to use two tools for what feels like a single logical task, I would prefer to have everything handled by one tool.
I am looking to hear exactly this . Features that facilitate customers’ lives. I thought your proposal was great. Would it be okay if I DM you to discuss this in more detail?
It performs as expected and I never have any server outages. Perhaps the only drawback is that $12 is a little pricey for such a simple service. But nevertheless, make use of it
I hope this thread gives you some useful ideas, but if I were in your shoes, I would have written this article before ever considering creating an MVP.
