Reddit's unfiltered nature intimidating you?

I’m part of a small team developing a new website idea centered around Reddit.

We’ve observed that many business owners want to promote themselves organically but hesitate to post because they feel overwhelmed by a platform’s unfiltered nature. As a result, they often miss out on valuable organic promotion, especially if they lack a marketing budget.

We intend to create a tool that provides detailed stats on specific subreddits, such as moderation levels, toxicity ratings, optimal posting times, number of referring domains, visibility scores in search engine results, subreddit rules, and more. We hope these insights will help business owners feel more confident in their posting efforts, making them more strategic in terms of reach and acceptance. Additionally, the tool will be paired with an educational blog that covers how to use the tool effectively, how to engage with the community, how to contribute positively, and when self-promotion is inappropriate, ensuring that posts are constructive and beneficial.
We’d love to know if you would find this valuable. What features or content would you like to see?

It seems beneficial. Displaying which subreddits are more appropriate for different company sectors would be a helpful tool.
However, posting in r/marketing can result in more responses.

seems like a useful instrument. It could be useful to include post popularity based on company category.
Additionally, address strict guidelines for self-promotion by offering suitable post formats.

Although it appears helpful, I believe that those who aren’t reddit users—or who can use it for promotion would be the target audience because they can relate to the users. Be aware that it must be worthwhile information that will influence Reddit users based on their interests and the channels they utilize. You’ll benefit from this SaaS project management tool. It assigns you tasks that make sense given your Saas objectives.

It seems beneficial, but I’m not sure how precise it would be. I assume you plan to assess using AI? There have been instances where it has struggled to identify subtleties, such as how “bad” something is. However, good for you if you’re not employing AI!

Great tool, would be useful if there was a way to include a feature about antagonism toward any kind of promotion.

You’re not alone in feeling overwhelmed by Reddit’s unfiltered environment. As a small business owner, I completely understand the challenge of balancing organic promotion without seeming spammy. Your tool sounds intriguing and could definitely help simplify Reddit marketing.
I’d love to see features that highlight positive engagement opportunities, like tracking trending threads or identifying “helper” users who provide constructive feedback. An automated toxicity filter would also be very useful.
Have you thought about expanding beyond just Reddit stats? There are some great AI tools available now that can assist in crafting personalized responses and managing social media engagement across different platforms. It could really enhance the value for small business owners. Either way, I’d love to hear how the project progresses!

Have you considered including information regarding the kinds of postings that thrive in subreddits where self-promotion is strictly prohibited?
