The silliest thing I have ever seen is Product Hunt

A lot of people attempt to mimic their accomplishment. That is, phoney upvotes. The same individuals consistently make the same comments. No product in Product Hunt’s top 10 has ever been utilised by me. Someone is stupid if they believe that everyone will use the best product. If I were going to start something initially, I would do it in a Chinese forum that is invite-only and has over 200k active actual members. This is what I’m saying: Product Hunt doesn’t even have your long-term clients, yet they still need your idea. If your product is ranked #1 on YouTube when you submit a trailer, nobody will watch it.

When I first started using PH, I was successful—I was the third product of the day—but I soon found that this medal or acknowledgement meant nothing. I wasn’t getting any revenue, ROI, or general brand exposure from it.

More independent artists are becoming aware of this. Real clients don’t originate from there.
Any spoilt VC-backed firm, meanwhile, will still spend its funds to advertise on PH because those “product of the week” badges are essentially merchandise.

Welcome to the Hate Club for Product Hunting!

I nearly believe that PH causes more harm than good. Rather than actual consumers, the audience is more like people trying to sell their goods. Additionally, there must be a number of people on there who are actively searching for ideas to steal.

Without a doubt, try to provide value through more enduring means, such as organic SEO, using informative, engaging, and/or entertaining content. combined with ongoing expansion in the vicinity of such waterways.

The pump and dumps do not yield the desired results. They are working extremely consistently and intently towards clearly stated goals.

Product Hunt is an imposter.

To become featured on Product Hunt, you essentially need to go out and drive attention to them, utilise your marketing to generate signups, and then hope that your listing receives more traffic than the other listings that drove traffic to Product Hunt. It’s awful.
After that, you start receiving phoney requests asking you to pay users with high profile purity to upvote and comment.

And then there’s like Monday, Notion, or some other long-standing company in the mix.

I quickly dismiss the page and exit a SaaS website that has a Product Hunt badge on it.
