A few days ago, I landed a part-time role as a YouTube manager/editor for a tech startup. The founder wanted to create tutorials and share his expertise to grow the business. I shared what I knew about content creation, and he was blown away by my insights, so he hired me on the spot.
After thinking about it more, I realized something: not every founder is comfortable on camera or skilled at speaking in front of one. As a video editor, I have friends in video production, access to great gear, and connections with camera-friendly content creators.
That got me wondering what if we picked someone to be the face of a startup, grew their YouTube and Instagram, and managed everything? We’d create content from scratch scripts, production, editing, the whole package making it look professional. This way, the founder could focus on running the business while we handle the content marketing.
I’m curious to hear from other entrepreneurs: would you consider hiring someone to be the face of your brand while a team manages all content creation, marketing, and posting? Let me know your thoughts!
Edit: I tried posting on other subreddits but got banned, lol. I’m reaching out to those interested through another account.
that’s essentially what an organization does
Indeed, in case you’re trying to make a joke, there are various types of agencies:D However, not many follow the description. There is undoubtedly some truth to that!
Some of these I have witnessed. This is what Represent, managed by Renat Gabitov, does.
I recently completed the process of hiring my first two creators inside, following a year of founder-led marketing.
The secret is to discover creators who fit inside the budget, are charming, have a technical understanding of the essential business use cases, and are affordable.
These abilities are possessed by many entrepreneurs.
Indeed, the whole point of this is that it would be less expensive than paying the artists. We can complete all of the work, including editing, idea generating, and content writing, for the cost of merely paying the creators. In terms of comprehending the fundamental business use cases, I believe seeing the first three to four videos is necessary to fully grasp the actual needs of the company. That’s what I discovered, nonetheless, when the founder interviewed me.
We too encounter this and respond to it somewhat differently. With books and articles, we elevate the Founder to the position of thinking leader. We also make podcasts, if they feel comfortable doing so, but they don’t serve as the hosts. This kind of material is rarely generated, so we make up for it with well-made, faceless videos that connect with viewers. Divide the primary written content, quotes, and user-generated content (UGC) for social media.
That’s also a really good idea. However, this is for a developing SAAS. Perhaps you have an SEO-related tool. Why not create a channel under your name where you publish all SEO-related information and advertise the SAAS? In addition, I’m an Asian national. hence making a video is not expensive
Though a little rubbish, you can acquire this kind of stuff on Fiverr. However, there is undoubtedly a market for that. I might be interested in doing something similar if you want to email me.
